Yes, he does yeah sure he gets him dude.

Yes, sir, hey you want to tell everybody hey quit biting me, you tell everybody, hey huh, look up here! Look up here at the camera boy! Don't be camera shy, quit biting my finger! Look here! Yes, get over this one! Do this video get over here, boy, hey there! It's pete with gci turf, hope, you're having a great day today and actually hope, god blesses your socks off.

Today we got a new family member at the house.

Uh his name is theo.

I guess it is a havanese or he's a teacup breed, so he's gonna tend to be a little bit smaller than a normal.

Real quick story on theo here is uh.

My daughter come to me wanting to buy a dog wanting our family to buy a dog and come here, and I just told her straight up that you know I'm not gonna buy one, so I know mean daddy right uh, but we did give her the option to save her money and buy her own.

Give me that I just cut my other wrapping down he's out of chewing on the wrapping get over here.

Come on, so my daughter started her a little business making crafts and things like that.

She worked really hard.

I'm extremely proud of her.

We kind of laid the guidelines down and on uh.

You know that she she needed to save her own money and she wanted the the she wanted to buy theo.

She could buy it herself and uh, so she worked super hard saved her money up uh.

He was not a cheap dog by no means and she come up about 600 dollars short and we didn't want to want him to get away.

I mean this was the one that she kind of fell in love with, so we um we.

I said you know what you ain't got time to make the other 600 dollars.

We need to go and jump on this before somebody else picks him up.

I later bought him money with some stipulations and uh.

What we did was we give her a certain amount of time to pay the 600 back and if she pays it off early, she gets rewarded uh by not having to pay the full 600 and if she's late, she um will charge interests, and I know some people, probably like dang.

That's a hardcore daddy right.

There uh hard on him kid she ain't, but 13.

But you know what somebody is going to influence your children.

It might be a pastor, it might be a school teacher, it might be friends, it might be, whoever I'm a firm believer that the parent, especially the dad, the spiritual leader of the home.

I am absolutely convinced that the uh that you should uh pour into your children and sometimes that stuff is really hard.

I don't I mean I would have loved to just give my daughter, 600 and said here: go buy it, but when she steps out of this home into the real world, you and I both know it- will chew her up and spit her out with no mercy whatsoever.

So it's up to us as moms and dads to teach our children, uh responsibility and teach them real deal life.

Lessons and theo here was just a great opportunity for me to teach her some things about money and then money just don't grow on the trees.

You have to work, you have to earn it.

You work hard for what you get and and there's when you, when you go out and on the occasion you have to borrow money, uh there's consequences when you don't pay that money back on time and the correct amount and then, of course I also wanted to reward her for paying.

I know I know if you go, get a bank a loan at the bank.

I know the bank don't give you money if you pay it back early.

I get that, but I also wanted to reward her uh if she does and there's no doubt in my mind she has my mindset, my mentality.

She is laser, focused uh when she wants to be she's a go-getter and uh.

I just I see me in her uh all over and there's no doubt in my mind, she'll pay that back early, so she can keep a little bit of it.

So that's where theo come from.

That was a little bit of a little bit of parenting.

Talk right there and you know now that we got theo.

I have to be extra precautious about my applications.

I make to the yard look at that car yeah boy! Oh, that joke is hot right.

There now hey get over here.

You see theo.

Take off! We don't like it dog across the street.

Come here get over here that dog ain't gonna hurt.

You come on.

It's two great big old uh.

I think they're golden retrievers over there one more table.

He does not like him.

Joker's one bit: hey hey! It's okay! It's okay, hey it's! Okay, I'm not gonna! Let them get you! No sir, hey what there he goes.

Okay, you gonna stay right here now, if they bark he's gonna burn the road up.

So now we've got bureau.

I have to be a little extra uh precautious when I'm putting fertilizer out and weed control and mowing and everything I do in my yard.

I have to be a little more aware that we now have a pet.

So what does that look like as far as keeping a pet safe, my company's been spraying yards for a little over 15 years, and so we get that question, especially with new customers.

I got a dog.

What do we do that kind of thing? It's pretty simple! This is what we tell folks when we make a liquid application.

It don't matter what the liquid is.

We recommend that the pets stay off the yard for minimum of four hours, and typically you want the product to be dry to the touch, meaning there's no, no wetness on the leaf blade, steel.

You want it completely dry and typically they're.

Okay, then, with some stipulations.

I'll get to those in a minute, but we say four hours I mean if I come out here: spray, the yard and in one hour it's going to be completely bone dry without a doubt, so four gets kind of overkill.

The only time that I would recommend to a customer or to you that you should wait longer than that is if you notice theo is running around here.

Give me that give me that if you notice theo is running around here chewing on the grass okay, that's something I picked up with him and it may be a puppy stage.

He may just be doing that because he's a puppy and he's wide open.

But if you have a pet that chews on grass constantly and it's a habit, then you actually want to wait longer than that, and you want to make sure that once you do your application that you, water in the product or or it rains on it uh if it's not a product that gets water in like a herbicide or a fungicide, you want to wait until you waters it in later, after you've waited the time period for the fungicide to do its thing.

It's it's just! You want to be over precautious, okay, because I don't know his allergies.

I had no clue that he's brand new, so I don't know anything about him.

Yet we haven't tested him allergies or, if he's allergic to anything or stuff like that, so uh, it's basically a lot of just common sense.

That's what it is.

If we do a granular fertilizer, typically I'll, tell folks, hey the dogs they're safe to go out immediately when we leave as long as as long as you blow all your hard surfaces off, there's not granulars, laying everywhere for the dog to come around and eat.

And again that goes back to if your dog digs around in the grass and it's gonna eat things off the yard.

Obviously you're gonna.

You know water that in dissolve that fertilizer and get it gone before you.

Let your dog out, hey, come on, come on, come here! I'll get you come here.

You hear them dogs bark there.

He goes come on.

They ain't gonna! Get you boy come on here.

Oh there.

He goes that dog growled at him.

So in a nutshell, use common sense.

You know what I'm saying keyboard key, get it boy, get it boy, yeah boy? Yes, sir, yes siree! So I'm just going to communicate with my daughter well and say: look I just sprayed a fungicide insecticide humic, whatever on the yard, and you need to keep theo off the grass for a minimum of four hours and we'll wait and let it dry.

Um and again, I'm gonna watch him when he's out here playing around in the yard and trying to pick up on his habits and, if he's actually digging and chewing and scraping around obviously we'll adjust our uh game plan with him.

I'm gonna protect her investment in in the dog and number two.

I just I don't wanna harm to come to the dog.

I mean I'm, I'm really kind of falling over for him too.

The whole house, we love him, he's very playful and man he's furry and cute and little and all that cool stuff, so uh his turds are really tiny.

So it's not a lot to clean up, so we're uh we're really liking.

Him really really liking him.

I hope that helped.

I know some folks are just scared to death about their their pet, because some people have some very extreme relationships with their pets and that's completely cool.

I respect that, but I just I just wanted to make this video two reasons: introduce you to theo and kind of ease your concern a little bit that uh.

Maybe if you follow these guidelines, you'll better, keep your pet safe, say.

I appreciate you watching I'll check you later.
